Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour

- 1/4 cup granulated sugar

- 1 tablespoon baking powder

- 1/2 teaspoon salt

- 2 large eggs

- 1 3/4 cups milk

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation

1. Preheat your Belgian waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.

2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

3. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, and then add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.

4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. It's okay if there are a few lumps.

5. Lightly grease the waffle iron with a little oil or cooking spray if needed.

6. Pour an appropriate amount of batter onto the preheated waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions, usually about 1/2 to 3/4 cup of batter per waffle.

7. Close the waffle iron and cook the waffles until they are golden brown and crisp, typically for about 4-5 minutes. Cooking time may vary based on your waffle iron, so follow the manufacturer's instructions.

8. Carefully remove the Belgian waffles from the iron and serve them hot with your favorite toppings. You can use whipped cream, fresh berries, maple syrup, or any other toppings you prefer.

Enjoy your homemade Belgian Waffles, known for their crispy exterior and fluffy interior!
