Vanilla Gelato

If you’re a fan of classic gelato, then you must try our Vanilla Gelato. Our creamy and smooth recipe is made with only the finest ingredients, including real vanilla beans, giving it that authentic and unforgettable flavor. Perfect on its own or as a complement to other desserts, our Vanilla Gelato is a summer necessity.

**Ingredients:**

- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 vanilla bean, split lengthwise (or 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract)
- Pinch of salt

**Instructions:**

1. In a medium saucepan, combine the whole milk and heavy cream over medium heat. Heat the mixture until it begins to steam, but do not bring it to a boil.

2. While the milk and cream are heating, scrape the seeds from the vanilla bean using the back of a knife.

3. Add the vanilla seeds (or vanilla extract) and the split vanilla bean to the milk and cream mixture. Stir well.

4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar and a pinch of salt.

5. Slowly add the sugar mixture to the warm milk and cream, stirring continuously until the sugar is completely dissolved. Continue heating until the mixture is hot, but not boiling.

6. Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the mixture cool to room temperature.

7. Once cooled, cover the mixture and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or preferably overnight. This allows the flavors to meld.

8. Before churning, remove the vanilla bean from the mixture (if used).

9. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.

10. Transfer the gelato to a lidded container, smoothing the top with a spatula.

11. Freeze the gelato for an additional 4 hours or until firm.

12. Serve the vanilla gelato in bowls or cones and enjoy the creamy goodness!

Feel free to get creative by adding mix-ins like chocolate chips, chopped nuts, or fruit during the last few minutes of churning. Buon appetito!
